Job summary

ICON Clinical Research seeks a Senior Clinical System Designer to design advanced clinical systems for Colombia and Mexico with remote work options. You will lead design and development, review requirements, and ensure alignment with study protocols and operational needs.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in clinical systems, CDMS knowledge, and strong communication skills in English and the host country language. Approximately 10% travel may be required domestically or internationally.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience designing and implementing clinical systems in clinical research.
• Expertise in data analysis/interpretation or database development.
• Knowledge of at least one CDMS (e.g., Medidata Rave, Veeva EDC).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and host country language.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of clinical systems aligned with study protocols and operations.
• Consolidate high-level system requirements and manage reviews.
• Copy and modify CRFs from libraries and studies; support library item reuse.
• Develop custom CRF screens, edit checks, and dynamic check specs via prototyping.
• Perform QA peer reviews of database specs and lead eCRF/spec reviews.
• Configure and extend edit checks to meet trial needs; program complex checks.
• Monitor activity to identify out-of-scope work and inform CSL on timelines.
• Assist CSL with study timelines, decisions, and post-production changes.
• Drive post-production DB changes and production release; travel ~10%.
