Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Backend Engineer specializing in Kotlin to design and maintain scalable server-side applications within the JVM. You will be a key technical contributor, building robust microservices and distributed systems that outperform traditional Java implementations.

You will design high-performance services with Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Spring Data JPA, integrate PostgreSQL, and orchestrate event-driven data flows using Kafka and AWS.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in JVM-based backend development.
• Kotlin expertise for microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with Spring Boot and Kotlin integration.
• Proficiency in Spring Data JPA and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Apache Kafka for async messaging.
• Excellent English skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services with Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs for service communication and high-quality user experiences.
• Implement data persistence using JPA and PostgreSQL.
• Orchestrate event-driven architectures and real-time data flows using Kafka and AWS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect scalable microservices.
• Write clean, maintainable code and comprehensive unit tests.
