Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Backend Engineer specializing in Kotlin to design and maintain scalable server-side applications within the JVM ecosystem. You will be a key technical contributor building robust microservices and distributed systems that outperform traditional Java implementations.

You will design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services, implement RESTful APIs, and orchestrate event-driven architectures using Kafka and AWS.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in JVM-based backend development.
• Proven Kotlin expertise for building microservices and distributed systems.
• Strong Spring Boot experience and Kotlin integration.
• Proficiency with Spring Data JPA and PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs for service communication and user experience.
• Implement data persistence with JPA and PostgreSQL for complex entities.
• Orchestrate event-driven architectures with Kafka and AWS infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect scalable microservices.
• Write clean, maintainable code and implement comprehensive unit tests.
