FinOps Weekly is hiring a Data & FinOps Engineer to collaborate across data, product, and engineering teams on a GCP platform. The role focuses on building audit, retention, attribution, and reporting foundations for a multi-tenant, cost-efficient environment.

You will design and maintain BigQuery audit datasets, build cost visibility dashboards, implement FinOps tagging, and support governance in a fully remote LATAM context.

Formación

• 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Experience building production data pipelines.
• Growing specialization in cloud cost management and audit/compliance infrastructure.
• Strong Python and SQL skills for pipeline development.

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain BigQuery audit datasets with compliant schemas and access controls.
• Build Cloud Audit Log pipelines for security, compliance, and operational review.
• Create Cloud Billing export pipelines and Looker Studio dashboards for spend visibility and budgets.
• Implement FinOps tagging/labeling for cost attribution by tenant, project, and user.
• Support chargeback, showback, and optimization workflows through granular cost allocation.
• Configure Cloud Monitoring alerts for quota exhaustion and cost anomalies.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines with data quality and reliability.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to serve operational and compliance needs.
