Linqia, Inc. is seeking a Backend Engineer for a long-term contract to work from home in Latam. You will design and build server-side applications using Python, develop microservices, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable APIs.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of backend experience, strong Python and SQL skills, and a practical understanding of databases, RESTful services, and Agile development. This remote role offers flexible collaboration across time zones.

Formación

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2–4 years backend software development experience.
• Proficient in Python.
• Strong SQL and database optimization skills.
• Experience with microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Responsabilidades

• Designing and implementing server-side applications using Python.
• Writing complex SQL queries using Trino to gather analytics data from multiple sources.
• Developing and maintaining microservices for our platform.
• Designing and optimizing relational and non-relational databases.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs and ensure smooth functionality.
• Writing efficient and reusable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Performing code reviews to ensure high-quality codebase.
• Developing comprehensive end-to-end integration tests to ensure systems function as intended.
• Troubleshooting and debugging issues in backend systems.
• Staying up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
