World Business Lenders, LLC is seeking a Regulatory Analyst to support regulatory research, licensing, filings, examinations, and reporting. This role ensures up-to-date obligations, clear summaries of changes, and timely implementation across the business.

The position supports cross‑functional teams to review policy impacts, coordinate submissions, and improve regulatory processes while maintaining confidentiality in a fully remote, multinational environment.

  • Regulatory Research and Change Management: research federal/state requirements and monitor developments; prepare clear summaries and track actions.
  • Licensing, Filings, and Examinations: maintain calendars, prepare applications and responses, coordinate documentation.
  • Business and Policy Support: review new products/processes against policies; identify gaps and coordinate with teams.
  • Reporting and Process Improvement: prepare status reports, flag deadlines, maintain trackers and workflows.

Overview
  • World Business Lenders (WBL) is a privately held portfolio lender specializing in real estate-secured business loans for underserved businesses. WBL operates with a fully remote, multinational workforce and an experienced executive leadership team.
  • Typically, the work schedule is from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, though additional hours may be required based on business needs.
About the Role
  • WBL is seeking a Regulatory Analyst to support regulatory research, change management, licensing, filings, disclosure requirements, examinations, and regulatory reporting. This role will help maintain a clear inventory of obligations affecting WBL's lending, servicing, and corporate activities and coordinate timely implementation across the business.

  • Keeps regulatory obligations, changes, licenses, filings, and deadlines accurate and current.
  • Converts research into clear summaries, assigned actions, and documented implementation evidence.
  • Supports complete and timely regulatory submissions and examination responses.
  • Escalates unclear, high‑risk, or overdue matters to the Team Lead promptly.
What You'll Be Doing (Core Responsibilities)
  • Regulatory Research and Change Management
    • Research applicable federal and state requirements affecting WBL's lending, servicing, and corporate operations.
    • Monitor legal and regulatory developments involving usury, licensing, disclosures, and related obligations.
    • Prepare clear summaries of changes, affected business processes, effective dates, and recommended next steps for review by the Team Lead or legal counsel.
    • Update the regulatory obligations inventory and track assigned implementation actions through completion.
  • Licensing, Filings, and Examinations
    • Maintain licensing, registration, renewal, filing, and reporting calendars and supporting documentation.
    • Coordinate information collection and preparation of applications, renewals, reports, certifications, and other submissions.
    • Support regulatory examinations, inquiries, and responses by organizing requests, owners, evidence, drafts, approvals, and deadlines.
    • Maintain accurate, audit‑ready records of submissions, approvals, correspondence, and follow‑up commitments.
  • Business and Policy Support
    • Assist with regulatory reviews of new products, processes, vendors, and jurisdictional expansion.
    • Compare requirements against current policies, procedures, disclosures, and operational practices and identify potential gaps.
    • Coordinate with Operations, Lending, Servicing, Finance, and other teams to gather facts and implementation evidence.
    • Support updates to policies, procedures, guidance, training materials, and regulatory reference tools.
  • Reporting and Process Improvement
    • Prepare status reports on regulatory changes, licensing, filings, examinations, and outstanding actions.
    • Identify approaching deadlines, incomplete records, conflicting information, and overdue actions for escalation.
    • Maintain standardized research files, trackers, checklists, templates, and workflows.
    • Protect confidential and privileged information and follow documented quality‑control requirements.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in law, legal studies, compliance, finance, business, public policy, or a related field.
    • Paralegal training, JD coursework, or a compliance or regulatory credential is preferred but not required.
  • Required Experience
    • 2+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, legal research, licensing, risk, audit, or financial‑services operations.
    • Experience researching rules, maintaining regulatory calendars, preparing filings, or supporting examinations is preferred.
    • Ability to summarize complex requirements clearly and distinguish confirmed requirements from items requiring legal review.
    • Strong organization, writing, documentation, and deadline‑management skills.
Preferred Industry Experience
  • Financial services, commercial lending, private lending, banking, fintech, specialty finance, mortgage lending, or another highly regulated industry.
Specific Technical Skills
  • Federal and state regulatory research.
  • Regulatory change, obligations, licensing, and filing trackers.
  • Examination and information‑request coordination.
  • Microsoft Office and legal, compliance, or regulatory research systems.
Must-Have Requirements
  • Must be able to read and speak English fluently.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Outlook and Teams for scheduling, communication, and collaboration.
