Job summary

This Bogotá-based role at Cencora leads the North America region’s accounting close under the Regional Controller, blending strategic oversight with hands-on execution. You will own reconciliations, policy research, and cross-functional coordination, acting as the liaison to AP shared services and Ariba, while guiding a team through SAP S/4HANA transition.

Required are 6+ years in accounting with strong US GAAP/SOX knowledge, and fluency in English to support US and Canadian entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of directly related accounting experience (7–8 years preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Proven experience coordinating with AP shared services or centralized finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Own US GAAP close, journal entries, accruals, and period-end close for US/Canada entities.
• Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and eliminations across North America.
• Lead SAP S/4HANA transition activities and UAT support.
• Mentor Accountant II, provide technical review of entries and reports.
