Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Python Application Security Engineer to automate security controls and integrate application and cloud security checks into software development workflows.

Requirements include 3+ years in software engineering and security, Python proficiency, Wiz/Prisma Cloud experience, IaC/Terraform deploy-time checks, CSPM runtime checks, and autonomous execution capability. Upper-intermediate English is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software engineering and security.
• Strong coding in Python for security automation.
• Hands-on experience with Wiz, Prisma Cloud, or similar CSPM tools.
• Implementation experience with deploy-time checks against Infrastructure as Code (IaC) / Terraform.
• Implementation experience with runtime checks through Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM).
• Fully autonomous execution capability, requiring no daily supervision to map out and build automated security runbooks.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and deploy AI-enabled secure code scanning capabilities and automated runbooks.
• Automate secure coding patterns and integrate them with SDLC workflows.
• Architect the integration of continuous security scanning tools (SAST/DAST/SCA) into CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement runtime security checks via CSPM to maintain cloud visibility and threat posture.
• Review complex Java/Python code to provide code-level remediation guidance to developers.
