Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Python Application Security Engineer to automate security controls and embed application and cloud security checks into development workflows.

The role requires 3+ years in software and security, Python proficiency, and experience with CSPM tools like Wiz or Prisma Cloud. You will implement deploy-time and runtime security checks, help shape secure coding practices, and collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering and security.
• Strong Python coding and architectural skills for security automation.
• Hands-on familiarity with Wiz, Prisma Cloud or similar CSPM tools.
• Experience with deploy-time checks for IaC/Terraform.
• Experience with runtime checks via CSPM.
• Autonomous execution capability with no daily supervision.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and deploy AI-enabled secure code scanning capabilities and 'Golden Images' to drive secure-from-the-start adoption.
• Automate secure coding patterns and integrate them with SDLC workflows.
• Architect the integration of SAST, DAST, SCA into enterprise CI/CD pipelines, tuning them to reduce noise.
• Implement runtime security checks via CSPM to maintain cloud visibility and threat posture management.
• Act as a senior technical SME, reading and reviewing complex Java/Python code to provide remediation guidance.
