Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Python Application Security Engineer to automate security controls and integrate app and cloud security checks into software workflows. You will engineer AI-enabled secure code scanning and runtime CSPM checks to ensure secure-from-the-start delivery.

The role requires 3+ years in software/security, Python proficiency, and experience with Wiz/Prisma Cloud or similar CSPM tools, plus Terraform deploy-time checks. Remote/office hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience combining software engineering, security implementation or architecture.
• Strong coding and architectural proficiency in Python for security automation.
• Hands-on experience with Wiz, Prisma Cloud, or similar CSPM tools.
• Terraform deploy-time checks against IaC.
• Runtime checks via Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM).
• Fully autonomous execution capability with no daily supervision.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and deploy AI-enabled secure code scanning capabilities and 'Golden Images' to drive secure-from-the-start adoption.
• Automate the development of secure coding patterns and integrate with SDLC workflows.
• Architect integration of SAST/DAST/SCA into enterprise CI/CD pipelines, reducing noise.
• Implement runtime security checks via CSPM for continuous cloud visibility and posture management.
• Review complex application code (Java/Python) to provide targeted remediation guidance.
