AgileEngine is seeking a Platform Engineer to build and scale core infrastructure that supports rapid company growth. You will design reliable platform services, manage cloud resources on AWS and Kubernetes, and collaborate with engineering and data science teams to keep systems performant and secure.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in Python/TypeScript server development, API design experience, and hands-on work with AWS, Kubernetes, and service mesh tech.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• 1+ year API design and development using REST/gRPC.
• 1+ year AWS and Kubernetes experience, including service mesh tech.
• 1+ year building components like service registry, streaming, or distributed caching.
• 6+ months experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AIOps tooling.
• 6+ months SDLC AI-native usage via Claude tools.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Platform Engineer to build and scale core infrastructure that supports rapid company growth. This person designs reliable platform services, manages cloud resources on AWS and Kubernetes, and works closely with engineering and data science teams to keep systems performant and secure. Comfort with distributed architecture and AI-native tooling matters here.

MUST HAVES

• 3+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• 1+ year of experience with API design and development using REST/gRPC.
• 1+ year of experience with AWS and Kubernetes, including experience with Service Mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, Cilium, or similar.
• 1+ year of experience building advanced architectural components such as service registry, streaming, event bus, distributed caching, federated/polyglot persistence, etc.
• 6+ months of experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, harness engineering, or AIOps tooling.
• 6+ months of SDLC AI-native usage via Claude Code, Claude Cowork, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to learn on the fly, and a desire for ownership.
• Upper-intermediate English level.
