Legal Soft is seeking a remote Personal Injury Paralegal to support attorneys through the full case lifecycle—from intake to settlement. The role requires strong English communication, prior U.S. law firm experience, and fluency in English and Spanish.

You will manage intake, medical records, demand packages, and lien negotiations while coordinating with carriers and insurers. The position offers a fully remote setup with US business hours, competitive hourly pay, and benefits like healthcare

Formación

• At least 1 year of experience as a personal injury paralegal in a U.S. law firm or U.S.-based company
• Medical records review, demand letter drafting, and insurance adjuster communication
• Fluent in both English and Spanish (C1 level or higher in English)
• Bachelor’s degree in Law or current enrollment in Law School
• Working knowledge of the personal injury case lifecycle, from intake through settlement or trial
• Familiarity with medical terminology and common injury types (soft tissue, orthopedic, TBI)
• Understanding of liens and subrogation, including Medicare/Medicaid
• Experience with legal case management software (Filevine, Litify, CasePeer, Smart Advocate, Clio, or similar)
• Strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail
• Availability to work during US business hours

Responsabilidades

• Conduct client intake interviews, gather incident details, and open new matters in the case management system
• Order and track police reports, incident reports, witness statements, and photographs of the scene and property damage
• Identify all sources of insurance coverage, including liability, UM/UIM, MedPay, and PIP
• Send letters of representation to carriers and set up claim numbers and adjuster contacts
• Request, track, and follow up on medical records and itemized billing from all treating providers
• Review records for completeness, flag gaps in treatment, and organize them chronologically by provider
• Build medical chronologies and summaries linking treatment to the incident
• Calculate and maintain running special damages totals, including medical bills, lost wages, and out-of-pocket expenses
• Gather wage loss verification from employers
• Draft demand letters and assemble complete demand packages with supporting exhibits
• Track demand deadlines, adjuster responses, and offer history
• Prepare settlement breakdowns and disbursement statements for attorney review
• Assist with lien identification, verification, and reduction requests from health insurers, Medicare/Medicaid, hospitals, and providers
• Draft complaints, summonses, discovery requests and responses, and subpoenas
• Prepare and organize document productions and respond to written discovery
• Coordinate depositions, IMEs, and expert scheduling
• Track statutes of limitations, court dates, and filing deadlines; e-file with state and federal courts as needed
• Provide regular case status updates and set clear expectations on timelines
• Follow up on treatment status, missed appointments, and requested documentation
• Maintain clear, professional, and empathetic communication with clients who are often in pain or under financial stress

URGENT: REMOTE PARALEGAL OPPORTUNITIES — $20/HOUR

We're looking for a Personal Injury Paralegal to support our attorneys across the full life of a case — from intake through settlement. If you know your way around medical records, demand packages, and lien negotiations, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you.

Strong English communication skills and prior U.S. law firm or U.S.-based legal experience are required.

What You'll Be Doing

Case Intake & Investigation

• Conduct client intake interviews, gather incident details, and open new matters in the case management system

Litigation Support

• Draft complaints, summonses, discovery requests and responses, and subpoenas

• Track statutes of limitations, court dates, and filing deadlines; e-file with state and federal courts as needed

Client Communication

• Provide regular case status updates and set clear expectations on timelines

• Maintain clear, professional, and empathetic communication with clients who are often in pain or under financial stress

What We're Looking For

Mandatory: Experience working in a U.S. law firm or U.S.-based legal company, specifically on personal injury matters.
