Johnson & Johnson Bogota Capability Center seeks a Payroll Analyst to manage payroll operations for the Americas region. You will ensure timely, accurate payroll processing, data validation, and reporting while adhering to SOX controls and company policies.

Role requires 2+ years in payroll/HR operations, strong English skills, and experience with US payroll processes and major vendors. Opportunities exist in a multinational, dynamic environment with focus on efficiency and compliance.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of payroll or HR operations experience (Americas).
  • Knowledge of US payroll processes, regulations and vendor landscape.
  • Advanced verbal and written English is required.
  • Payroll certification is preferred (CPP, FPC).
  • Experience with multi-country payroll and SOX/compliance concepts.

Responsabilidades

  • Ensure payroll data interfaces into payroll systems before deadlines.
  • Support accounting, payments, Time & Attendance, and incentives within Payroll.
  • Conduct checks, variance analysis and reconciliations pre-payroll and before finalization.
  • Provide payroll support across project phases (testing, data mgmt, process docs).
  • Collaborate with third-party payroll providers to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with company policies and SOX.
  • Identify continuous improvement and automation opportunities in payroll.
  • Support cross-functional projects with payroll dependency.
  • Resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues.

Job Description

The position will be part of the Bogota Capability Center organization. The Analyst role should have strong HR or Finance operation experience focused of timeliness, accuracy, and compliance. As an Analyst, you are responsible for consistently delivering assigned tasks and responsibilities for the Americas region. This role will also be responsible for review, validation and analysis of results and reports. You will also facilitate and have tactical responsibilities in the areas of Incident and Change management, Continuous Improvement initiatives, digital capabilities project deliverables and system upgrades. You will follow J&J Global Services tools, procedures, and guidelines in discharge of your day-to-day duties. Strong collaboration, adaptability and time-management are critical for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure payroll-related data from Company internal applications interfaces into the payroll system before payroll deadline.
  • Support process of accounting, payments, Time & Attendance, Long Term incentives, as part of Payroll.
  • Perform checks, controls, variance analysis and reconciliations during pre-payroll processing and before payroll is finalized.
  • Serve as a Payroll support for the different phases of the project like testing, data management, process documentation etc.
  • Provide expertise on payroll calculation process with third-party payroll provider.
  • Supports multi-country payroll to have an effective operational model in compliance with company policies as well as statutory and legal requirements.
  • Ability to perform reporting and remittances such as month end, quarter end and year end payroll returns.
  • Ability to perform reporting and reconciliation.
  • Executes, in accordance with globally established standards, processes for SOX compliance, internal controls, and required regulatory/statutory requirements (including payroll record data maintenance).
  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality, data protection assurance, conformity with J&J policies, procedures, external regulations, and agencies.
  • Updates and maintains payroll process and administration documentation.
  • Identifies and raises continuous improvement and automation opportunities.
  • Supports cross-functional projects with payroll dependency.
  • Supports and resolves payroll related inquiries.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of AI concepts and frameworks, including awareness of responsible and ethical AI practices, and has experience generating effective prompts to boost efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of prior experience in Payroll or HR operation is required. (Americas Region)
  • Knowledge of payroll US processing (processes, regulations, vendor landscape, etc.).
  • Advanced verbal and written English communication skills are required.
  • Payroll certification is preferred (e.g. CPP, FPC)
  • Research and problem-solving skills required.
  • Ability to execute tactically, quickly adapt to situations, and address day-to-day operational challenges with minimal supervision.
  • Cultural awareness and an ability to work with a multitude of people across multiple markets assigned.
  • Prior experience with deployment or implementation projects is preferred.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with the Leading Third-Party Payroll Providers (ADP, NGA, SDWorx, etc.)
  • Prior experience in a multi-national company, and/or experience in Finance/HR Shared Services preferred.
  • Prior experience in e-Time, Kronos, Salesforce Service Cloud, SAP, Workday is preferred.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Knowledge Management artifacts such as Desktop Procedures (DTPs) and proficiency with Compliance requirements (SOX and Business Controls) is required.
