EX Squared LATAM is seeking an Operations & Procurement Specialist to support a direct-to-consumer dog food subscription business. You will oversee the end-to-end process from demand forecasting to inventory, purchasing, and fulfillment, in a fully remote LATAM environment.

The ideal candidate brings 1–3 years in operations/procurement, advanced Excel, and Shopify experience, with strong analytical and communication skills to manage multiple orders and suppliers remotely.

• Advanced Excel: pivot tables, lookups, forecast models.
• Experience with Shopify-based e‑commerce platforms.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain weekly/monthly demand forecasts from subscription data and promotions.
• Translate forecasts into purchasing and production plans.
• Place and track purchase orders for ingredients and packaging.
• Compare supplier quotes; track costs, lead times, MOQs.
• Monitor inventory levels and weeks of supply across locations.
• Identify potential shortages or excess stock and communicate risks.
• Maintain accurate inventory records; support reconciliation.
• Oversee subscription fulfillment and on-time shipping; resolve issues in Shopify.
• Coordinate with internal teams on delays or substitutions.
• Book and manage inbound/outbound freight including temperature-controlled shipments.
• Compare carrier rates and track shipments to final delivery.
• Prepare weekly reports on inventory, fulfillment, forecast accuracy, freight, purchasing.
• Identify recurring operational issues and develop improved templates and AI-assisted workflows.

Role Overview

We are looking for an Operations & Procurement Specialist to support a growing direct-to-consumer company that produces and delivers fresh, human-grade dog food through a subscription model.

In this individual contributor role, you will help ensure that the company remains stocked, organized, and on schedule. You will oversee the operational process from raw-material planning and procurement through inventory management, freight coordination, and the successful fulfillment of customer orders.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple orders, suppliers, shipments, and operational priorities in a fast-paced remote environment.

Location

Fully remote position within LATAM.

Contract Duration

Long-term, full-time contractor position.

Working Hours

Monday through Friday during standard Eastern Time business hours.

Language Requirement

Advanced English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain weekly and monthly demand forecasts based on subscription data, growth trends, and promotional activity.
• Translate demand forecasts into purchasing and production plans.
• Place and track purchase orders for ingredients and packaging materials.
• Compare supplier quotes and maintain accurate information regarding costs, lead times, and minimum order quantities.
• Monitor inventory levels and weeks of supply across different locations.
• Identify potential inventory shortages or excess stock and communicate risks early.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory reconciliation.
• Oversee subscription fulfillment and ensure orders are shipped accurately and on time.
• Investigate and resolve fulfillment issues in Shopify.
• Coordinate with internal teams regarding delays, substitutions, and other customer-impacting issues.
• Book and manage inbound and outbound freight, including temperature-controlled shipments.
• Compare carrier rates and track shipments through final delivery.
• Prepare weekly reports covering inventory, fulfillment performance, forecast accuracy, freight expenses, and purchasing activity.
• Identify recurring operational problems and develop improved spreadsheets, templates, and AI-assisted workflows.

What You’ll Bring

• One to three years of professional experience in operations, procurement, supply chain, inventory planning, or a related area.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and forecast-model development.
• Experience working with an e-commerce platform, ideally Shopify.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple open purchase orders, shipments, and operational priorities simultaneously.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and productively in a remote environment.
• A proactive approach to identifying operational risks and resolving issues before they affect customers.

• Experience in a direct-to-consumer subscription business.
• Background in food, consumer packaged goods, or perishable and frozen products.
• Experience coordinating less-than-truckload or refrigerated freight.
• Experience with demand forecasting, purchasing, inventory planning, or subscription fulfillment.
• Familiarity with Shopify-based fulfillment workflows.
• Experience using AI tools, such as Claude or similar platforms, to accelerate analysis, reporting, or operational processes.
