Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Puerto Rico is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to set up, calibrate and operate production machinery on our Santa Isabel line. You will inspect finished parts, perform routine maintenance, and follow procedures to maintain quality and throughput. The role requires attention to tolerances and willingness to complete a post-offer vision test.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED and fluent English/Spanish communication, with U.S. citizenship as required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or GED) or vocational/technical education with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a production machine according to established procedures.
• Inspect machining operations and finished products against tolerances using precision measuring tools.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Use computer-controlled equipment to select, position and operate machines.
• Make adjustments to machine settings to meet specifications.
• Assist with NC programming and calculations as needed.
• Must be able to read screens and information and pass a vision examination.
