Blacksmith Agency is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, focused on production systems rather than model training, and you will not be training models.

You will develop agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks and integrate with OpenAI and Anthropic APIs, including tooling and function calling. Collaborate with teams to automate across WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and our CMS.

Formación

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration with OpenAI or Anthropic.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.

This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models, you will be building production systems on top of them.

What You Will Build

• Agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrations with Anthropic and OpenAI APIs including tool use and function calling.
• Internal tools that reduce manual hours across our design and development production process.
• Automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and our internal CMS.
• MCP server integrations as part of our broader AI stack.

What You Bring

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
