Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research position; you will not train models but build production systems on top of them.

You will develop agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks and integrate with OpenAI and Anthropic APIs, including tool use and function calling. You will connect WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and our internal CMS.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.

Responsibilities

• Build agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrations with OpenAI and Anthropic APIs including tool use and function calling.
• Internal tools that reduce manual hours across our design and development production process.
• Automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and our internal CMS.
• MCP server integrations as part of our broader AI stack.
