EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Lead Python Backend Developer to deliver secure, scalable API services and orchestrate AI-driven workflows for LLM integrations.

You will own API contracts, RAG orchestration, and reliability across distributed systems while partnering with adjacent teams to maintain quality. You will design and operate backend services, build end-to-end RAG pipelines, wire agent tools, and enforce secure coding practices.

Formación

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience in microservices and distributed systems.
• Proficient in Python and RESTful API design principles.

Responsabilidades

• Design and deliver backend API services plus LLM orchestration layers.
• Implement and operate end-to-end RAG pipelines (ingestion, chunking, embedding, retrieval).
• Wire up agent tools using orchestration frameworks.
• Ensure security, privacy, observability, and test coverage across backend workflows.
• Own API contracts and end-to-end service reliability across distributed systems.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, data engineers and infra teams to ship cohesive solutions.
• Integrate LLMs with robust systems engineering, evaluation, observability, and cost awareness.
