Job summary

EPAM is seeking a Lead Java Developer to drive complex initiatives from concept to production in a hybrid setup, four days in the office weekly. You will architect services handling investment data, build APIs, and guide distributed systems with a focus on correctness, reliability, and scalability.

The role requires 5+ years in Java/Spring Boot, API/microservices expertise, strong SQL, and English at B2 level or higher to collaborate with multinational teams globally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Java and Spring Boot experience.
• 1+ year of team leadership or mentoring experience.
• Proven API, microservices, and distributed system development history.
• Strong SQL knowledge and production CI/CD practices.
• Fluent English (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and maintain Java/Spring Boot applications.
• Develop APIs, microservices, and distributed system components.
• Lead initiatives from planning through production deployment.
• Identify and fix complex software and data challenges.
• Contribute to architecture, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Use AWS and cloud-native platforms for scalable infra.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor engineers.
• Share expertise to uplift teammates.
