Job summary

Academy District 20 is seeking a Lead Technician I for Grounds to supervise the grounds staff and oversee seeding, mowing, trimming of fields, and tree and shrub care across district grounds.

The ideal candidate will have skilled trade training and the ability to manage equipment, maintenance schedules, and safety rules, with readiness to respond to ground emergencies around the clock.

Qualifications

• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information in various software systems.
• Ability to analyze malfunctions in electrical equipment and systems.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, coworkers, staff, students, parents, and the public.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to input work orders on a computer and generate reports as needed.

Responsibilities

• Reports for work as scheduled and performs other duties as assigned.
• Assists in hiring processes and with problem solving.
• Assists with preventative maintenance programs and tracking.
• Coordinates building maintenance services with other district departments.
• Coordinates inspections of equipment and property as required.
• Ensures safety rules, regulations, and codes are followed.
