Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead GCP DevOps Engineer to strengthen our global delivery by building reliable cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines that support client outcomes. You will lead hands-on IaC execution on Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities include leading IaC on GCP, designing Terraform modules, building CI/CD pipelines, configuring IAM, and implementing Workload Identity Federation, while coordinating with teams across time zones including Mexico.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps engineering experience with CI/CD and cloud platforms.
• 1+ years of leadership experience guiding technical implementation and setting engineering standards.
• Strong hands-on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience in production environments.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development and maintenance experience.
• Terraform experience, including reusable module design.
• Project ownership skills to plan and deliver DevOps work across a global team while covering Mexico time zone.
• Strong IAM skills, including role design, least-privilege access, and policy management.
• Workload Identity Federation (WIF) knowledge for secure identity configuration.
• Strong automation skills to build and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong collaboration skills to align with distributed teammates and stakeholders.
• English level B2+ for effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on Infrastructure as Code implementation on Google Cloud.
• Design and write reusable Terraform modules for scalable environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable safe, repeatable releases.
• Configure IAM roles and policies to enforce least-privilege access.
• Implement Workload Identity Federation (WIF) to secure authentication flows.
• Coordinate with a global team while ensuring coverage for the Mexico time zone.
• Review and improve infrastructure changes to keep deployments reliable and consistent.
