AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer to deploy and operate a new Kubernetes-based cloud environment on AWS for a short-term project. The role requires strong experience with Kubernetes, Argo CD, Terraform, and AWS, and offers a flexible remote work arrangement.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, reliable deployments and improved platform reliability, with a focus on automation, GitOps, and scalable CI/CD pipelines.

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering.
• 4+ years operating Kubernetes in production.
• Experience deploying AWS-hosted applications.
• Ability to lead initiatives with minimal supervision.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Proficient with Kubernetes, EKS, and Helm.
• Experience with Argo CD and service mesh.
• Experience with AWS services (VPC, EC2, EKS, IAM, Route 53, S3, RDS, etc.).
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD, GitOps, IaC, and Terraform.
• Bash, Python, or Go.

Responsabilidades

• Lead deployment of a new cloud environment on AWS or another provider.
• Ensure deployment follows security, reliability, and operational best practices.
• Partner with application, infrastructure, security, and operations teams.
• Deploy and manage workloads on Kubernetes platforms.
• Troubleshoot cluster, networking, ingress, storage, and workload issues.
• Support modernization and containerization efforts as needed.
• Design and enhance GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement deployment automation and release workflows.
• Establish GitOps deployment patterns with Argo CD.
• Improve traceability, repeatability, and deployment reliability.
• Develop infrastructure using Terraform and related tooling.
• Reduce manual deployment activities through automation.
• Configure monitoring, logging, alerting, and dashboards.
• Support production readiness reviews and runbooks.
• Establish reliability practices and incident response procedures.
• Identify bottlenecks and performance issues across cloud/Kubernetes.
• Document architecture and deployment procedures.
• Produce runbooks and knowledge-transfer docs.
