N-iX is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer (AWS Migration & Security) to join the team on a time-boxed, hybrid engagement focused on migrating core services to AWS and strengthening security posture.

You will design Terraform infrastructure, work with EKS, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD with GitHub Actions, coordinating with multiple teams and documenting changes. Strong AWS, Kubernetes, and security remediation skills are required, with English proficiency and time-zone overlap with Toronto.

Formación

• 6+ years of commercial DevOps experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS in production environments.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes and AWS EKS.
• Practical experience with Docker and containerized workloads.
• Strong Terraform and infrastructure-as-code skills.
• Experience with cloud migration projects (Azure to AWS and/or re-platforming).
• Solid understanding of AWS networking, IAM, security groups, and load balancing.
• Security remediation experience including secrets management and dependency patching.
• Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools.
• Ability to work across multiple teams and codebases.
• Familiarity with PHP, Python, or TypeScript is beneficial for communication.

Responsabilidades

• Migrate existing services from Azure and potentially other platforms to AWS.
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Work with AWS EKS, Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized workloads.
• Configure and maintain AWS networking (VPCs, subnets, security groups, IAM, load balancing).
• Support migration activities across AWS accounts, environments, and teams.
• Identify and remediate security issues related to secrets, keys, dependencies, and infrastructure configuration.
• Apply security fixes and library updates, including Dependabot remediation.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation with GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate with development, platform, and infrastructure teams to coordinate migrations.
• Document infrastructure changes and migration procedures.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity.
