ScotiaTech in Bogota, Colombia is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform. You will lead a small team of up to three Data Engineers and drive data-driven decisions across the business.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of data engineering experience on GCP, hands-on with BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub and Cloud Composer, and strong programming skills in Python/Java/Scala and SQL.

Formación

• 5–7 years of data engineering experience with GCP.
• Hands-on with BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub and Cloud Composer.
• 2+ years leading or mentoring a team of engineers.
• Proficient in Python, Java or Scala and SQL.
• Experience with data modeling and warehousing concepts.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and Terraform; security and governance in cloud.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and architectures on GCP.
• Lead a team of up to three Data Engineers with mentorship.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Software Engineers.
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance within GCP.
• Monitor data infrastructure for high availability and quality.
• Evaluate new GCP services and third-party tools to enhance data capabilities.
