EPAM Systems seeks a Lead Data Software Engineer (Java+GCP) to drive the design and implementation of scalable data solutions. You will lead technical initiatives, mentor team members and collaborate with stakeholders on high-quality data engineering products on Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities include leading data software design with Java and GCP, building scalable pipelines on Databricks, guiding cross-functional teams, enforcing code quality, and communicating with English-speaking

Formación

5+ years of experience in data software engineering.
Proficiency in Java and SQL.
Expertise in Google Cloud Platform and Databricks.
Capability to design and lead complex data engineering initiatives.
Strong communication in English (B2 or higher).

Responsabilidades

Lead the design and development of data software solutions using Java and GCP.
Architect scalable data pipelines on Databricks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define technical requirements.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering team members.
Ensure code quality through reviews, best practices and standards enforcement.
Optimize SQL queries and data processing workflows for performance.
Drive adoption of cloud-native solutions across data engineering projects.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders in English to align on project goals.
