Coforge is seeking a Senior / Lead Data Engineer Cloud to design and deliver scalable data pipelines across LATAM. You will build DBT models on Azure Databricks, implement Delta Lake and Unity Catalog, and collaborate with AI-assisted coding and CI/CD practices.

The role requires 5+ years in Data Engineering, hands-on DBT projects, SQL and Python, and IaC with Terraform. You will align data products with business goals and contribute to quality, observability, and governance in a cloud

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• At least 2 years of hands-on DBT projects in production.
• Strong DBT expertise: models, tests, macros, snapshots, project structure, refactoring.
• Advanced SQL and Python skills.
• Hands-on with Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Medallion Architecture.
• Experience with IaC using Terraform.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools like Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable DBT models on Azure Databricks.
• Develop data solutions using Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Medallion Architecture.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools for code generation, refactoring, debugging, testing, and documentation.
• Build and maintain data quality frameworks with DBT tests and validation rules.
• Participate in CI/CD and AI-assisted code reviews for fast deployment.
• Collaborate with platform/engineering teams on AI-driven development patterns.
• Curate datasets and semantic definitions to support self-service analytics.
• Evolve data engineering best practices including observability and data contracts.
• Support modernization through automation and AI-powered workflows.
• Drive adoption of engineering standards and scalable delivery methods.
• Measure AI-generated code and testing coverage for productivity.
