NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking a Senior Lead Technician with 5+ years in spacecraft assembly and AIT. You will lead a hands-on team, interpret drawings and specifications, ensure IPC/WHMA-compliant workmanship, and drive quality and continuous improvement across the assembly and testing lifecycle.

The role requires strong communication, ownership of results, and willingness to stay engaged with hardware as you develop the team’s capabilities, in a Colombia-based facility.

Formación

• 5+ years hands-on experience assembling and integrating spacecraft or similar high-reliability hardware.
• Experience leading and mentoring technicians in assembly/production.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, 3D models and specs.
• Experience with precision tools, torque tools and measurement equipment.
• Familiarity with IPC/WHMA, NASA-STD-8739 or equivalent standards.
• Experience with FRACAS, NCR and root-cause analysis processes.
• Certified forklift and/or crane operator a plus.
• Relocation assistance if applicable.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and mentor technician team in spacecraft assembly/AIT activities.
• Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to ensure quality.
• Maintain high-reliability workmanship practices and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering on non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Stay hands-on with hardware while guiding the team.
