Job summary

SoftwareOne is hiring a Junior SQL Server Analyst to manage critical SQL Server environments and ensure high availability and performance across on-premises and cloud platforms. You will design architectures, automate tasks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business-critical systems.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and experience with SQL Server, plus knowledge of cloud platforms and other database technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Computer Science, or related field and experience as a Senior DBA in SQL Server environments.
• Desirable cloud knowledge (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Certifications in SQL Server or cloud platforms are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and maintain SQL Server environments ensuring high availability and performance.
• Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Always On, clustering, replication).
• Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell or other scripting tools.
• Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
• Manage database security, backups, patching, and upgrades.

Junior SQL Server Analyst

We are seeking a SQL Server DBA to manage, optimize, and ensure the availability and performance of our database environments. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, implement best practices, and support business-critical systems across on-premises and cloud platforms.

What you will do:

What we need to see from you

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Computer Science, or related fields, with solid experience as a Senior DBA in SQL Server environments. Strong expertise in high availability configurations, database architecture, and performance optimization. Experience in automation using PowerShell or similar tools. Proven experience managing database engines and ensuring operational stability.
• Desirable knowledge in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and other database technologies such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. Relevant certifications in SQL Server or cloud platforms are a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work in high-impact environments. Demonstrates ownership, proactive attitude, and excellent communication skills.
