DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a Junior Project Manager (GSC) for the CAT US Control Tower in Colombia. The role focuses on validating shipments, managing charges, and ensuring accurate data across CW1, with emphasis on timely escalation and stakeholder communication.

The candidate should bring experience in Air Freight and project management, strong analytical skills, and the ability to balance long-term projects with urgent operational needs in a multinational setting.

Formación

• Previous experience working in a large enterprise as a Junior Project Manager in complex multinational organizations.
• Previous Air Freight and Project Management experience.
• Ability to handle complex situations with customers and multiple responsibilities simultaneously mixing long term projects with the urgency of immediate demands on the operations.
• Demonstrated ability to solve business problems.
• Developed problem solving and presentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• CAT Shipment Validation in CW1: review and validate charges, incoterms, consignee details, and margins.
• Handle exceptions: missing documents, audit discrepancies, and GP review status.
• Coordinate with station contacts and escalate issues per matrix; ensure timely stakeholder communication.
• Support end-to-end CAT US Control Tower delivery for origin and destination.
• Maintain alignment between business deliverables and organizational goals.

Job title: Junior Project Manager (GSC), CAT US Control Tower

Job location: GSC BOG (Colombia)

The Junior Project Manager (GSC), CAT US Control Tower is instrumental in ensuring that we are developing and delivering solutions that enhance the customer experience for CAT on every shipment, everyday.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

CAT Shipment Validation in CW1:

• Account Code
• Service Code
• Service Level
• Commodity
• Country Pair / Lane
• Incoterms
• Consignee and Ultimate Ship-To details
• Review and validate all applicable charges and fees
• Ensure fuel calculations use actual weight and freight charges use chargeable weight.
• Check assessorial charges and special fees based on Rate Card requirements.
• Review shipment margin in the Profit & Loss tab for GP compliance.
• Charges should be autopulled in the billing tabs, if not than we reach out to HOP team for correction

CAT Shipment Validation in CW1 - Exception Handling

• If documents are missing, request documents from station.
• If audit discrepancies are found, on document notify station for correction.
• If margin is outside tolerance, place shipment in WRK status with Pending GP Review.
• Escalate unresolved issues to station contacts as per escalation matrix.
• Supports the coordination, status reporting, and stability of customer interactions, ensuring that goals and objectives are met within agreed upon time, scope, and resource requirements for CAT air freight shipments
• Provide clear and concise project stakeholder communication, as well as internal team communication
• Identifies issues affecting work progress and recommends solutions with assistance
• Ensures alignment of business deliverables and organization’s goals and objectives
• Work closely with DGF CAT US Control Tower team to ensure harmonized product roll-out and end-to-end solution delivery (origin & destination)

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience working in a large enterprise as a Junior Project Manager in complex multinational organizations
• Previous Air Freight and Project Management experience
• Ability to handle complex situations with customers and multiple responsibilities simultaneously mixing long term projects with the urgency of immediate demands on the operations
• Demonstrated ability to solve business problems
• Excellent English written and oral communication
• Keen attention to detail with strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Intermediate understanding of Air freight services and Project Management
• Developed problem solving and presentation skills
