hosting.com is seeking a Junior IT Infrastructure Engineer to enable our people to work at their best by providing tools, systems, and support. You will be the primary IT support resource for the local business, coordinating with the UK-based Infrastructure team to deliver an excellent employee experience.

You will respond to helpdesk requests, assist with onboarding/offboarding, manage user accounts, and help maintain security, hardware, and software assets, including Microsoft Intune and 365

Formación

• Fluent in English with strong written and spoken skills.
• Excellent communication and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 services (Entra ID, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint).

Responsabilidades

• Respond to IT support requests via the helpdesk system.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities.
• Manage user accounts across systems and platforms.
• Contribute to IT documentation and guides.
• Maintain the asset registry for hardware and software.
• Support setup and maintenance of hardware and meeting room tech.
• Assist in implementing security controls and best practices.
• Assist deployment and management through Microsoft Intune.
• Produce monthly user and asset reports.
• Maintain ISO27001 compliance and security posture.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and automate tasks.

About the Role

As a Junior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will enable our people to do their best work by ensuring they have the tools, systems, and support they need to succeed. This role is ideally suited to someone who thrives working independently. You will be the primary IT support resource within the local business, managing your workload, prioritising effectively, and delivering an excellent employee experience while partnering closely with the wider UK‑based Infrastructure team.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to IT support requests through the helpdesk ticketing system, providing timely and professional support to employees.
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding activities, ensuring a seamless and secure experience for all users.
• Assist with user account administration across business systems and platforms.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of IT documentation, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Manage and maintain the company asset registry, ensuring accurate tracking of hardware and software assets.
• Support the setup, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware, including laptops, desktops, monitors, and meeting room technology.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining security controls and best practices across the business.
• Support the deployment and management of applications through Microsoft Intune.
• Produce monthly user and asset reports to support audits and ensure data accuracy.
• Maintain compliance with ISO27001 processes and standards, ensuring users and devices remain secure and compliant.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance the overall employee experience.

What You Bring

• Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written language skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint.
• Experience supporting macOS environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
