Nuaav Bogotá is hiring an IT Operations Engineer to own how the company technology runs day to day—laptops, user accounts, access requests—on a hybrid schedule in our local office. You’ll turn reactive IT support into a secure, documented system trusted by teammates and auditors.

You’ll manage devices end‑to‑end, control access and licenses, build onboarding/offboarding processes, enforce security basics, and automate routine tasks with scripts to free you for strategic work.

Formación

• 3+ years in IT operations, systems administration, or senior IT support role
• Experience with device management tools across Mac, Windows, Linux (Jamf, Intune, Kaseya, Addigy, Kandji or similar)
• Google Workspace administration (users, groups, security settings)
• Slack and Apple Business Manager experience
• Strong security basics: encryption, antivirus, access control, secure-network practices
• Fully bilingual, English and Spanish, writing documentation
• Scripting or light automation (Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Airtable/Slack workflows)
• B2 Conversational English level

Responsabilidades

About the Role

We're hiring an IT Operations Engineer to own how our company's technology actually runs day to day; every laptop, every user account, every access request. This opportunity is based in our Bogotá office on a hybrid schedule and reporting to our Security and Compliance Lead. Your main responsability is to turn scattered, reactive IT support into a reliable, secure, and well-documented system that both your teammates and outside auditors can trust.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership: you're not following someone else's playbook, you're building it.

• Every device, start to finish. You'll manage the full life of company laptops and equipment -from setup and enrollment through day-to-day patching to retirement - and help select and set up the tools we use to monitor and support them remotely.
• Every account and every license. You'll manage user access with precision: setting people up, removing access when they leave, organizing groups and permissions, and regularly checking that access still makes sense. When software licenses go unused, you'll catch it and reclaim the cost.
• A clear, well-documented support system. You'll build and maintain the internal processes for onboarding, offboarding, and access requests, keeping a clean paper trail for every change. You'll also be the first point of contact when someone's laptop, Wi-Fi, or software isn't working - whether they're in the office or remote.
• Security that actually holds up. You'll enforce baseline protections across every device - encryption, active antivirus, screen locks, up-to-date software - and keep the evidence organized so we're always ready for a security audit.
• Smarter work, not just more work. You'll use AI tools and scripting to cut out repetitive manual tasks
• - ticket sorting, account setup, recurring reports so the routine stuff increasingly runs itself, freeing you up for the problems that actually need a person.
• A steady, approachable presence for the whole company. You're comfortable talking tech with engineers and explaining the same issue in plain terms to someone in sales. You communicate equally well in English and Spanish, in writing and in person.

What You Bring

• 3+ years in IT operations, systems administration, or a senior IT support/helpdesk role
• Real experience with device management tools (Jamf, Intune, Kaseya, Addigy, Kandji, or similar) across Mac, Windows, and Linux.
• Google Workspace administration (users, groups, security settings), plus Slack and Apple Business Manager.
• Solid grasp of security basics: encryption, antivirus tools, access control, and modern secure‑network practices
• Fully bilingual, comfortable writing documentation and solving problems in both English and Spanish.
• Some scripting or light automation experience (Bash, Python, PowerShell, or tools like Airtable/Slack workflows)
• B2 Conversational english level.
