Arup in Bogotá is seeking a Geotechnical Specialist to join our Civil team. You will support assessment, analysis and coordination of geotechnical aspects for roads, urban infrastructure and major civil projects.

You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams to interpret ground conditions and develop actionable geotechnical recommendations. The role requires strong technical foundations, analytical skills, and clear communication, with a focus on sustainable, practical solutions and effective project

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or related field with geotechnical focus.
• Experience in geotechnical engineering for roads, urban infra or buildings.
• Knowledge of soil/rock mechanics, slope stability and foundations.
• Experience with geotechnical calculations and reports; Colombia practice desirable.
• Spanish fluency; English desirable; registration in Colombia preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Compile and interpret geotechnical data for civil/transport projects.
• Plan and coordinate geotechnical investigations and lab testing.
• Develop ground models and assess subsurface conditions and hazards.
• Perform or support analyses for slopes, earthworks, foundations and earth structures.
• Prepare notes, calculation packages, reports, specs and geotechnical docs.
• Coordinate with roads, drainage, structures, tunnels and utilities teams.
• Review geotechnical deliverables and support site activities.
