PayJoy seeks a FinOps Engineer to build and own the financial-operations data foundation that informs all major business decisions. You will design canonical data models, ensure reliable pipelines, and automate reporting, enabling leadership to monitor KPIs and forecast more accurately.

With up to 3 years of data/analytics engineering experience and strong SQL/Python skills, you will collaborate across finance, product, and engineering to create a scalable, auditable data platform.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, information systems, data, finance/accounting, or equivalent.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Strong SQL and Python; experience with analytics databases.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery and ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Knowledge of accounting/finance fundamentals and BI dashboards.
• Up to 3 years of experience in data/analytics engineering, preferably with financial data.

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain FinOps data models (unit economics, cost structure, margins, and pricing).
• Establish a single source of truth for financial metrics, aligning definitions across teams.
• Build data pipelines integrating ledger, payments, billing, credit-origination platforms, and cloud.
• Implement data-quality tests and validations at the transaction level.
• Automate reporting, reconciliations, and FinOps processes including periodic closes.
• Develop, maintain, and evolve dashboards for stakeholders and handle ad-hoc data requests.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and projection exercises with reliable data.
