PayJoy is hiring a Software Engineer to develop our locking technology and data-driven credit products for emerging markets. You will contribute to world-class app design across frontend and backend, and integrate partner APIs while collaborating with global teams.

The role emphasizes building scalable APIs, secure data handling, mentorship, and participation in Agile processes within a fast-growing environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in financial technology services.
• Proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies: PHP, Java, Javascript/Vue/AngularJS, HTML, CSS, SQL.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Team-oriented with mentoring or pairing experience.

Responsabilidades

• Code software primarily in PHP, Javascript/Vue/AngularJS, HTML, CSS; design, implement, test, debug, and deploy features from product specs.
• Collaborate with Product team to address business needs.
• Use and manage relational SQL databases; perform CRUD operations.
• Design and implement database schema changes to support new features.
• Handle customer data securely and responsibly.
• Build data-driven products and APIs for real-time data delivery to partners.
• Work with global engineering teams and partners to deliver products in international markets.
• Grow the engineering team and provide mentorship; participate in code reviews and Agile practices.
