WSP is seeking a Financial Project Manager to lead the financial aspects of strategic projects from inception through completion. You will manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and reporting, collaborating with project teams to ensure financial objectives are met.

The role involves preparing executive-level reports, identifying risks and opportunities, and driving improvements across programs in a multinational setting.

Financial Project Manager (Financial PMO)

WSP is seeking a Financial Project Manager to lead and coordinate the financial aspects of strategic projects from inception through completion. This position will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of project budgets, forecasts, financial controls, cash flow, and reporting processes, supporting both decision-making and overall project financial performance. Working closely with Project Managers, Project Controllers, Financial Analysts, and business leaders, the Financial Project Manager will play a key role in financial analysis, risk and opportunity management, and the implementation of corrective actions to ensure the successful achievement of financial and operational objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the financial planning, management, and control of projects throughout their entire lifecycle.
• Coordinate the development and monitoring of project budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree or specialization in Finance, Business Administration (MBA), Project Management, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
• 10+ years of experience in project financial management, financial planning, project controls, financial PMO environments, or similar roles.
• Proven experience leading budgeting, forecasting, financial control, and performance analysis processes for complex projects.
• Experience within engineering, infrastructure, construction, consulting, or professional services environments.
• Strong knowledge of cost management, budget control, profitability analysis, and cash flow management.
• Experience preparing and presenting financial reports to executive leadership.
• Advanced proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, or similar platforms.
• Ability to analyze complex financial information and translate findings into strategic business recommendations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills across multiple organizational levels.
• Excellent project management skills and experience working in multicultural environments.
• Results-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Mandatory French-English bilingualism, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both languages, verbally and in writing.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, CPA, CFA, or equivalent are considered an asset.
