Job summary

PayJoy, Inc. is seeking a Finance Lead for Colombia and Panama to support FP&A and debt investor relations. You will work with the Latam Finance Director and the US FP&A team to build top-down and bottom-up models, provide KPI reporting, and model value from partnerships.

Strong Excel skills and English proficiency are required. In this role you will coordinate with the regional GM and accounting to ensure GAAP reconciliations, budgeting, and audit processes are on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economy, Accounting, Business Administration or Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in finance roles.
• Experience with Colombian and Panamanian market and regulation.
• Experience with fintechs and/or banking in Colombia is a plus.
• CFA, CPA, Master in Finance, and MBA are a plus.
• Languages: English professional proficiency is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing and ad-hoc analysis and modeling in support of PayJoy’s goals.
• Develop financial models for budgeting, forecasting, company health, and pricing evaluation; provide KPI reporting.
• Model value of future partnership opportunities and support budgeting processes including monthly budget vs. actuals.
• Run distribution calculations for principal and interest for debt facilities; create dashboards with real-time KPIs.
• Assist with Local GAAP vs US GAAP reconciliation; support audit process and tax validation.
• Support operations in merchant payments reconciliation.

Job description

As the lead of finance for Colombia and Panama you will be reporting to the Finance Director of Latam and support the existing finance and FP&A functions of the company. You will provide support to the finance team’s efforts in managing and servicing existing debt investors. This role requires strong analytical and forecasting skills to ensure healthy financial planning and operations control.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Finance Director of Latam to support ongoing and ad-hoc analysis and modeling in support of PayJoy’s aggressive goals. The role will have straight contact with the FP&A team in the US.
• Develop financial models (top-down and bottom-up) for budgeting, business forecasting, company health, and pricing evaluation. Provide periodic KPI reporting to headquarters in the USA..
• Work closely with the regional General Manager in Colombia and Panama to model the value of future partnership opportunities. Support company-wide budgeting processes including monthly budget vs. actuals analysis of operating and non-operating cash flows.
• Run distribution calculations for principal and interest for multiple debt facilities. Create local dashboards providing real-time insight into KPIs and other financial metrics.
• Work closely with the accounting team to gather financial information and assist with the reconciliation of Local GAAP versus US GAAP.
• Assist accounting in the audit process
• Validate the taxes paid
• Support operations in making payments to merchants and reconciling the transactions with accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Finance, Economy, Accounting, Business Administration or Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in finance roles
• Experience with Colombian and Panamanian market and regulation
• Experience with fintechs and/or banking in Colombia is a plus
• CFA, CPA, Master in Finance, and MBA are a plus

• Excellent Excel modeling skills, Google Sheets experience is a plus.
