Job summary

Rockwell Automation, a global technology leader, seeks an engineer in its software group to design dashboards, monitor deployments, and improve automation across Windows/Linux environments in a hybrid Colombia-based role.

You will collaborate with global teams, pursue knowledge in new software engineering trends, and help implement reliable, scalable operations that support product development and deployment excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in a software product development environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Go, JavaScript, and Python.
• Experience with cloud services like AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with software infrastructure management including Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Experience deploying CloudOps/SRE practices.
• Knowledge of software deployment test methodologies and automated test tools.
• Experience with Windows and Linux development.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Grafana dashboards for operational insights.
• Use Prometheus (or equivalent) to monitor health of deployments.
• Develop automated runbooks for common operational tasks and resolving issues.
• Act as an operations contact communicating with developers and customers.
• Document and review incidents and future resolutions.
• Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management systems.
• Test the designs you have implemented.
• Provide guidance and educate team members on development and operations.
• Build configuration standards and maintain daily management of projects.
• Develop and improve infrastructure and application development processes.
• Follow best practices established by the company.
