Lifted, an Upwork Company, is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design and maintain secure, scalable data pipelines, warehouse models, and analytics datasets supporting people insights. This contract role emphasizes hands-on data engineering, data modeling, platform reliability, semantic layers, and governed access for BI tools and AI interfaces.

Formación

• 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering.
• Hands-on Snowflake data modeling, datamarts and warehouse design.
• dbt experience for data transformations.
• Strong Python, including OOP and data scripting.
• Airflow experience for pipeline orchestration.
• Experience with REST APIs ingestion and external sources.
• Google BigQuery querying and optimization experience.
• Secure handling of sensitive data at scale.
• Real-time or near-real-time data processing from APIs/Sheets.
• Strong SQL with optimized queries.
• Comprehensive technical documentation skills.
• Advanced English communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain secure, efficient data pipelines and data models.
• Build ETL pipelines using Python, dbt, Terraform, AWS Glue, EMR and S3.
• Integrate data from APIs, cloud systems, Google Sheets and other sources.
• Create Snowflake warehouse models, datamarts and analytics-ready datasets.
• Develop automated data-quality tests and improve data engineering processes.
• Monitor production pipelines to maintain high uptime.
• Design semantic views, ontology layers, and metrics over warehouse models.
• Build governed data experiences using LLM-native query layers.
• Configure secure interfaces between data sources and internal AI tooling.
• Document data models, pipelines, and technical decisions comprehensively.
