A leading technology and transaction processing company in Medellín is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Professional to design and implement secure infrastructure. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in Cybersecurity, proficiency in vulnerability scanning tools, and the ability to script in Python. Responsibilities include managing system performance, analyzing vulnerabilities, and coordinating remediation plans. Formación

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Cybersecurity and system administration.
• Experience with PCI DSS, hardening, web application security, and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement on-prem and cloud infrastructure for Cyber Exposure Management services.
• Ensure optimal performance and security of systems, applications, and vulnerability analysis tools.
• Analyze vulnerability scan results, prioritize risks, and coordinate remediation plans with internal teams.
• Maintain and optimize scanning tools, credentials, and agents for accuracy and reliability.
• Research emerging vulnerabilities (including Zero-Day) and recommend mitigation actions.
• Generate reports, metrics, and support incident response related to vulnerabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Cybersecurity, system administration (Windows/UNIX/Linux), network devices, cloud security, PCI DSS, hardening, web application security, CI/CD, and vulnerability management.
• Programming and API experience desirable.

Knowledge and skills required

• Proficient in vulnerability scanning tools, analysis, and remediation processes.
• Ability to create scripts (Python) and work with APIs for scanning tool configuration.
• Experience with compliance checks and hardening processes (Unix/Linux focus).
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux server administration, web technologies, and network protocols.
• Familiar with Vulnerability Management Cycle, WAS, PCI DSS.
• Strong communication, customer orientation, problem-solving, and proactive mindset.
• Ability to work independently and in teams under high-pressure environments.
• Highly organized with analytical and logical reasoning skills.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Available to work extended hours, weekends, and/or holidays as needed, and the availability to travel as required, supporting projects in the region.
