Thermo Systems is seeking a Controls Engineer III for onsite work in Montgomery, AL. The role supports design, integration, and delivery of automation projects across industrial environments.

You will lead project tasks and collaborate with managers, engineers, and commissioning teams to ensure safe, reliable delivery aligned with requirements. The ideal candidate is technically capable, able to lead tasks, and motivated to grow into senior technical and leadership roles.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• Typically 4+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, or system integration environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering tasks or small project scopes.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and support start-up and commissioning of control systems.
• Lead and perform FATs for automation systems.
• Interpret P&IDs and electrical wiring diagrams and provide feedback on field conditions.
• Develop and implement HMI and PLC-based automation solutions.
• Contribute to design and implementation of complex control systems.
• Provide instrumentation specifications for automation and control system designs.
• Review technical documentation for accuracy and quality.
• Deliver assigned engineering tasks on schedule and within scope.
• Identify technical challenges and develop solutions.
