Job summary

Stay Heirloom, a leading name in the U.S. luxury vacation rental market, seeks a finance professional for remote work from Colombia. You will support bank reconciliations, revenue recognition, and AP/AR processes while assisting with balance sheet maintenance and monthly/quarterly reporting.

Strong real estate accounting background and GAAP knowledge are required; Airbnb experience is a bonus. The role is fully remote with compensation based on experience, offering exposure to a premium U.S.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience with real estate accounting and financial reporting for US-based companies (GAAP and IRS familiarity).
• Command of the English language: written and verbal.
• Hospitality revenue accounting is a plus, e.g., Airbnb-related accounting experience.
• Experience with cloud-based accounting software; SAGE Intacct experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly bank reconciliations.
• Review and record revenue.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including entering bills and invoices.
• Review and record mortgage and utility payments.
• Assist with balance sheet and general ledger reconciliation.
• Assist with cash flow management and timely payments to the management company.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
• Perform other duties and special projects for the finance department as needed.

Essential Functions

• Assist with completion of monthly bank reconciliations.
• Review and record revenue.
• Support and complete a variety of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including entering in bills and invoices.
• Review and record all mortgage and utility payments.
• Assist with the maintenance and reconciliation of company balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with cash flow needs by ensuring that outstanding balances owed to the management company are paid in a timely manner.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
• Performing additional duties and completing special projects to assist the finance department on an as-needed basis.

Requisites

• 2-5 years of experience with real estate accounting and financial reporting for US-based companies (familiarity with GAAP and IRS).
• Command of the English language: written and verbal
• Experience with hospitality revenue accounting is a plus, but not required for candidates with a strong real estate accounting background. For example, experience with accounting involving platforms like Airbnb is a strong advantage for this position.
• Experience using cloud-based accounting software and experience using SAGE Intacct is a plus.

Schedule & Compensation

This is a full-time and fully remote role. Compensation for this position is based on a flat monthly rate and varies based on experience.
