Job summary

Greystar is seeking an on-site accounting-focused Community Assistant Manager to support the Community Manager in financial operations, reporting, and resident relations. You will handle rent collection, invoices, bank deposits, and close-out tasks using Yardi/OneSite and related systems.

The role requires 1–3 years in property management, a bachelor's degree in a related field, and strong communication skills. On-site work with comprehensive benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Management, Communications, or related field.
• 1-3 years minimum experience in residence life and/or property management to assist in day-to-day operations.
• Understanding of lease terms and enforcement, including collections.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Collects and posts rent and payments; prepares deposits and bank reconciliations.
• Operates Yardi/OneSite and maintains data integrity in the system.
• Reviews resident files for unpaid or late balances and enforces lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Reviews and approves invoices; codes charges and communicates with vendors and owners.
• Handles evictions processes following legal requirements and notices.
• Manages move-outs and deposit handling according to procedures.
• Responds to resident inquiries to promote satisfaction and retention.
• Acts as on-site supervisor in manager’s absence and coordinates maintenance and operations.
• Supports leasing and marketing by greeting prospects and assisting with applications.
