Job summary

bmit is seeking a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to deliver, operate, and continuously improve customer on-premise and cloud environments. You will work hands-on across Microsoft 365, Azure, virtualization, and core infrastructure while supporting day-to-day tasks and customer projects.

This mid-level role involves collaborating with engineers and customer teams, participating in an on-call rotation, visiting client sites, and ensuring security, stability, and scalability of environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating Windows and Linux server environments and virtualization platforms.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 services and identity (Entra ID) in a support/operations capacity.
• Experience supporting Azure services (compute, storage, backup, monitoring) and responding to operational incidents.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to own issues through to resolution within SLAs.
• Strong documentation and change control discipline.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365, VMware).
• Automation experience (PowerShell) and exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code concepts.

Responsibilities

• Run customer cloud and on‑premise systems, handling daily support requests, operational problems and project work.
• Configure Azure services and Microsoft 365, including identity, security, email and collaboration tools.
• Maintain Windows and Linux servers, VMware or Hyper‑V platforms, and storage capacity and performance.
• Deliver customer infrastructure changes with architects and senior engineers, using scripts to make operations more consistent.
• Plan patching and preventive maintenance, document changes, and take assigned issues through to resolution.
