Seargin seeks a Cloud FinOps Analyst to manage cloud and SaaS spending across AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, and more. You will drive cost transparency, forecasting, chargeback/showback, and governance aligned with FinOps standards.

You will collaborate with Finance, Cloud Engineering, Platform Operations, Product, Security, and leadership to optimize spend, build budgets, dashboards, and AI-driven cost models across multiple cloud platforms.

Formación

• Experience in cloud cost management and FinOps practices.
• Ability to analyze cloud spend across multiple platforms.
• Experience with predictive analytics for budgeting and forecasting.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze cloud usage and spending across accounts, subscriptions, and services.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, including idle resources and overprovisioned services.
• Recommend and track Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, and other cloud commitments.
• Partner with technology teams on rightsizing and cost-optimization practices.
• Create budgets at team, project, and product levels.
• Forecast monthly and quarterly cloud spending based on usage trends.
• Explain variances between actuals and forecasts.
• Support annual and long-range financial planning for cloud investments.
• Allocate cloud costs to teams, cost centers, and projects.
• Process invoices and support chargeback/showback models.
• Prepare and submit month-end journal entries.
• Reconcile budgets, forecasts, and actual spending.
• Develop cost governance and KPI reporting.

Cloud FinOps Analyst

About the Role

The Cloud FinOps Analyst will manage, analyze, and optimize cloud and SaaS spending across AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, and other cloud platforms. This role connects Finance, Cloud Engineering, Platform Operations, Product, Security, and business leadership. Its focus is to improve cost transparency, forecasting, chargeback/showback processes, optimization, KPI reporting, and governance in line with the FinOps Framework and organizational financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze cloud usage and spending across accounts, subscriptions, and services.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, including idle resources and overprovisioned services.
• Recommend and track Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, and other cloud commitments.
• Partner with technology teams on rightsizing and other cloud cost-optimization practices.
• Create team-, project-, and product-level cloud budgets.
• Forecast monthly and quarterly cloud spending based on usage trends.
• Compare actual spending with forecasts and explain variances.
• Support annual and long-range financial planning for cloud investments.
• Allocate cloud costs to teams, cost centers, and projects.
• Process invoices and support chargeback/showback models.
• Prepare and submit month-end journal entries.
• Reconcile budgets, forecasts, and actual spending.
• Develop and maintain cost governance practices covering budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and modeling.
• Produce regular and ad hoc financial analyses, insights, and recommendations.
• Conduct historical comparative analysis.
• Create dashboards, reports, graphs, and other visualizations for Product, Finance, and Technology leadership.
• Improve daily processes and working files through SQL and Power Query integration.

Required Skills

• Strong interest in AI tools and applications, including Microsoft Copilot, Cowork, Copilot Studio, and AI-assisted forecasting.
• Experience with cloud platforms or related tools such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, and Cloudability.
• Experience implementing predictive analytics for cloud-spend forecasting and budget planning.
• Ability to develop AI-driven models that analyze cloud-spending patterns and identify optimization opportunities.
