Job summary

Accelya, a leading global software provider to the airline industry, is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Bogota to contribute to Offer Engines, delivering high-performance, scalable software for the airline sector. You will work with cross-functional teams, develop, test, and optimize code with strong C/C++ experience, debugging skills, and familiarity with Visual Studio on Windows.

Hybrid work: 2 days in office per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong C/C++ development experience.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio and Windows development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain high-availability, high-load software using relevant hardware, databases, and programming technologies.
• Investigate and resolve complex software defects, developing, testing, and implementing modifications as required.
• Write new program code based on prescribed specifications within a large, existing system.
• Collaborate with business subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to design, document, and develop high-performance solutions to complex problems.
• Develop routines to parse and store input data in various proprietary formats.
• Use profiling tools (e.g., Visual Studio Profiler) to analyze performance and optimize code for high-scale deployment.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, debugging, testing, and documentation.
