ScotiaGBS in Bogota seeks a Benefits & Leave Experience Consultant to administer benefit programs and support payroll and data issues. The role collaborates with vendor partners, HR Services Total Rewards, and COE teams to ensure compliant and efficient operations.

The ideal candidate has a HR/Business background, 1–2 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and proficiency with HRIS. Location is BogotA, Colombia, with standard office hours.

Formación

• Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or related field with 1–2 years of experience
• English level B2
• Understanding of benefits administration knowledge, policies, and procedures
• Knowledge of Bank policies and procedures
• Proficiency with HRIS and data management tools
• Strong attention to detail and deadlines

Responsabilidades

• Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships
• Ensures accurate and timely processing of employee benefits data
• Answers inquiries and resolves issues related to benefit programs
• Ensures compliance with standards and SLAs for benefit procedures
• Liaises with benefits vendors to resolve inquiries and issues
• Identifies opportunities to improve processes and technologies related to benefits
• Understands risk culture and day-to-day controls across operations
• Supports a high-performance environment and talent development
• Maintains benefit documents and data filing
• Acts as SME on disability, survivor services and benefits administration
• Trains new team members and updates procedures

Purpose

Responsible for administering benefit programs in alignment with established standards and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This role also provides support for escalated inquiries from vendor management, leave’s bi-weekly payroll process & resolving data issues. This role works closely with the benefit Vendor Partners, HR Services Total Rewards Delivery teams and the Total Rewards COE to complete administrative tasks and support inquiries on issues related to benefit processes.

Accountabilities

• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Ensures the accurate and timely processing of employee benefits data, including data maintenance and updating
• Provides support by answering inquiries and resolving issues related to benefit programs/plans, escalating high risk issues to Manager, Benefits & Leaves Experience where appropriate
• Ensures the delivery of benefit procedures and processes are in compliance with standards and SLAs
• Liaises with benefits vendors to resolve inquiries and issues including benefit appeals, short and long term disability, life insurance etc.
• Seeks opportunities to improve or enhance processes, procedures and technologies related to benefits, proposes recommendations to Manager, Benefits & Leaves Experience
• Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations within his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct
• Champions a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team
• Ensures all benefit related documents and data such as Survivor Services files, disability decisions and updates, and coverage letters are filed and/or completed efficiently.
• Creates high performance culture with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Identify ways of improving on team and function performance metrics.
• Act as subject matter experts on either short/long term disability, survivor services and benefits administration activities and attend regular meetings with business partners to enhance processes. Sometimes filling in for the Manager, Benefits & Leaves Experience or Benefits & Leaves Experience Lead when necessary.
• Training new team members on processes and procedures. Continuously improve the training experience and update desktop procedures, training guides and job aids as necessary.

Education / Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or Business or pursuing education in related field with minimun 1 to 2 years of experience
• English level B2
• Understanding of benefits administration knowledge, policies, and procedures
• Deep understanding and knowledge of Bank policies and procedures
• Knowledge of benefit program compliance and reporting requirements
• Attentive to details and deadlines; ability to manage multiple initiatives
• Ability to effectively work independently and identify when to engage others
• Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills
• Sound judgement and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Technical savvy with systems and database management such as HRIS, Case and Absence Management
• Strong Excel Knowledge in formulas such as V Look Up

Working Conditions

Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence
