EXL is seeking a Data Architect to lead an enterprise-scale cloud migration and establish an EDM from first principles. You will model and deliver domains starting with Underwriting, then Claims, enabling a first use case to reconcile reports with governed data products.

The target platform is Azure + Databricks with Unity Catalog and Purview governance aligned to ACORD and Blueprint 2 standards. You will provide technical expertise across analysis, design, development, rollout and maintenance

Formación

• 8-10 years of Enterprise Data Modelling experience required.
• Experience designing data architectures for cloud migration and modern lakehouse patterns.
• Strong experience with Azure and Databricks (Delta/Lakehouse layering).
• Proven ability to establish guardrails: standards, naming conventions, definitions.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for large-scale data lake and warehouse solutions.
• Define and deliver an Enterprise Data Model approach across conceptual to physical layers.
• Establish canonical entities and conformed dimensions for cross-domain analytics.
• Provide technical supervision of the project and define target architecture (Synapse to DBX).
• Identify source systems and integration requirements.
• Model domains iteratively (UW first, then Claims).
• Understand data integration processes using Informatica, SSIS, MuleSoft, DataStage, Sqoop.
• Define and operationalize a data quality rule catalog.
• Implement reconciliation and control checks between source and target.
• Lead domain workshops with SMEs, architects, governance, and reporting teams.
• Communicate status, risks, dependencies, and decisions.
• Lead design reviews to align with standards and priorities.
• Stay current with emerging data technologies and approaches.
• Support setting data architecture direction and ensure delivery adherence.
• Coordinate with project manager and client staff on best practices.
