AECOM’s Medellin office is seeking an Associate Director - Electrical Engineering (Data Centers) with deep data center power systems expertise to lead project engineering for high‑performance facilities.

You will design electrical systems, perform load calculations, specify equipment, ensure redundancy, coordinate with mechanical teams, and guide testing and commissioning. English proficiency and an advanced degree are highly valued.

Formación

8+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering with data center focus.
Experience with data center Tier Standard Topology (Uptime Institute, TIA-942) and building codes.
Hands-on experience with design and simulation tools (AutoCAD, ETAP, DIALux, SKM Power Tools).
Advanced level of English, written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

Design electrical systems for data centers including power distribution, UPS, generators, lighting, grounding.
Perform load calculations and capacity planning for IT equipment and cooling.
Select electrical equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Design for redundancy and fault tolerance.
Coordinate with mechanical/HVAC systems.
Prepare design documentation and specifications.
Oversee testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting during installation.
Stay informed on data center trends and emerging technologies.
