Job summary

Lean Solutions Group is seeking a Collections Associate with at least 1 year of experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Collections. The role focuses on managing overdue invoices, negotiating payment arrangements, and maintaining positive relationships while supporting cash flow objectives.

Candidates should have strong Excel skills, excellent communication, and the ability to handle multiple accounts with confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Collections.
• Educational background in Accounting, Finance, Logistics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective negotiation, active listening, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize collection activities.
• Familiarity with CRM, billing, or collections systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review open accounts and identify overdue balances requiring collection efforts.
• Make outbound calls and send follow-up emails to customers regarding past-due invoices.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and ensure timely follow-up on agreed commitments.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, payment disputes, and account-related issues.
• Review accounts regularly to ensure accurate records and timely payments.
• Maintain detailed and accurate account notes in the appropriate systems.
• Manage an assigned portfolio of accounts and prioritize high-risk or time-sensitive cases.
• Meet individual collection targets, performance metrics, and KPIs.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve customer concerns and billing issues.
• Prepare reports and support additional projects as requested.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with company policies and collection procedures.
