O-I is seeking a skilled software professional to join the Global Service Delivery team in Envigado, Colombia. The role focuses on leveraging and enhancing global manufacturing applications, translating requirements into technical designs, and delivering those requirements as custom development with emphasis on on-time and accurate delivery.

The successful candidate will work with solutions analysts and stakeholders, maintain production system reliability, and continuously improve processes.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in .NET C# development and MS technologies.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular; SQL and MS SQL Server.

• Learn and maintain comprehensive understanding of manufacturing systems and related technologies.
• Collaborate with business partners to develop and validate requirements for new functionality or enhancements.
• Drive consistency across platforms by ensuring that business rules are consistently applied.
• Document design specifications, configuration, testing and training plans; share/validate them with IT and business users for review and sign-off.
• Recommend inventive and creative solutions to solve business problems.
• Maintain production system reliability through utilization of change management process.

JOB SUMMARY

As a member of the O-I Global Service Delivery team, this role will be responsible for leveraging and enhancing global manufacturing applications. This person will receive requirements from solutions analysts and business stakeholders, convert those requirements into a technical design and deliver those requirements in the form of custom development. Success in this role is determined by on-time and accurate delivery of the capabilities in scope.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Learn and maintain comprehensive understanding of business functions, manufacturing systems such as GMIS Shopfloor, EASIER, Enterprise Monitor, related technologies and other solutions as needed.
• Collaborate with business partners and global process teams to develop and validate business requirements for new functionality or enhancements.
• Drive consistency across platforms by ensuring that the business rules are consistently applied
• Document design specifications, configuration, testing and training plans; share/validate them with IT and business users for review and sign-off; and oversee completion of the same
• Recommend inventive and creative solutions to solve business problems
• Maintain production system reliability through utilization of change management process
• Develop competence by performing structured work assignments
• Effectively communicate project and support work related status, including global knowledge sharing with peers and across IT

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years’ experience with:
  • .NET C# development and knowledge of MS technologies
  • Web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular
  • Java and related APIs and mainstream libraries (JPA) Optional
  • SQL, relational databases (MS SQL Server)
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply them to technical and business problems.
